Praia do Amado
In Portugal regnet und regnet es, weite landwirtschaftliche Flächen stehen unter Wasser. Nach unserer Einschätzung ist dies ein ungewöhnlich regenreicher Herbst in Südwest-Europa. So haben wir schon viele sehenswerte Orte wegen schlechten Wetters links liegen gelassen.
Hinzu kommt: Der südwestliche Küstenabschnitt Portugals samt Hinterland sind als ‚Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina‘ geschützt. Frei stehen (im Womo übernachten) ist hier nicht erlaubt.
So sind wir ohne nennenswerte Stops zur Westküste der Algarve gelangt. Hier haben wir Glück mit dem Wetter und können einen atemberaubenden Strand erkunden: Praia do Amado bei Carrapateira.
It is raining and raining in Portugal, and large areas of farmland are under water. In our opinion, this is an unusually rainy autumn in south-western Europe. As a result, we have already skipped many places worth seeing due to bad weather.
In addition, the south-western coast of Portugal and its hinterland are protected as the “Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina”. Free camping (staying overnight in a motorhome) is not permitted here.
We reached the west coast of the Algarve without any significant stops. Here we are lucky with the weather and can explore a breathtaking beach: Praia do Amado near Carrapateira.
